There where a safe, a microwave oven, and a fridge in my quadruple room. My breakfast was lovely with the cakes. Location: the hotel was short walk to the cafe, and favorite restaurants. The vibe here was quiet. The stuff was amazingly nice and welcoming and responsive to requests.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff warmly welcomed us and showed us around the beautiful old wooden house. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy futon. The hotel is conveniently located near a quiet and beautiful beach, making it the perfect spot for some relaxation. The staff provided us with a delicious breakfast, including their famous chiffon cake in two flavors, which they even packed for us to take on our early morning departure. The hotel also offers convenient transportation options and is close to restaurants, making it easy for us to explore the area.
Can't fault anything about it.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, as it is quite near to the sea and close to the seashore. There are also plenty of restaurants in the area, making it convenient for dining options. the rooms are comfortable, with tatami bedrooms and futons provided. the service is exceptional, with the host going out of their way to assist guests, as mentioned by one reviewer who received help during a medical emergency. the breakfast, including the famous chiffon cake, is delicious and a great start to the day. Another advantage is the private parking available.
The walls between the rooms are quite thin, which means that noise from neighboring rooms can be heard.

Garden Treats: I recently stayed at a charming accommodation and cafe that was transformed from a 70-year old traditional Japanese home. The highlight of my stay was the delightful free continental breakfast, which included a scrumptious chiffon cake. It tasted so heavenly that I couldn't help but imagine myself as a fluffy cloud floating on a plate!

had a delightful stay in Tanabe for a wedding celebration and Ichie exceeded expectations. Mayumi was a fantastic host, providing helpful local information and even driving us to the station in the rain. Her delicious cakes and warm hospitality made our stay unforgettable.

The warmest Japanese hospitality I experienced during my Christmas stay. the host, Mayumi, was incredibly helpful and gave us all the information we needed to start our route to Kumanokodo. She even went out of her way to give us a room with more privacy. the complimentary sponge cake for breakfast was a tasty treat and a lovely surprise. the location was perfect, with easy access to transportation and within walking distance of the train station. a truly enjoyable experience.
The only drawback was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. If there had been another guest in the adjacent room, privacy could have been an issue with noise traveling between the rooms.

The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The traditional Japanese house and spacious room added to the charming and retro vibe. It wasn't far from the station and conveniently located near the sea and restaurants. The highlight was the delicious self-made sweet bread we received for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ichie.
My children wanted more activities for families with kids.

Our stay at Ichie was absolutely delightful. The traditional Japanese bedroom was stunning, filled with beautiful furniture and oozing with character. The hosts, Mayumi and Aya, were incredibly helpful, providing us with valuable advice on things to do and places to explore in Tanabe. We were treated to delicious breakfasts of chiffon cake, which added an extra special touch to our mornings. The experience was memorable and we hope to visit again in the future. I highly recommend Ichie for a truly authentic and enjoyable stay.
While our room was charming, it was smaller than the neighboring room, which seemed unfair. Additionally, the lack of soundproofing was a slight inconvenience, as we were disturbed by a late check-in and enthusiastic discussion about local attractions.

Ichie was a charming traditional Japanese guesthouse that offered great value for money. The cozy room with comfortable futons and the homemade chiffon cakes for breakfast were delightful. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the railway station, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The breakfast experience could have been improved by having more variety or options available.
